Magnetic Drives

Magnetic Drives

16, 20, 50 and 80 kgf-cm zero-leak drives, housing tested to 350 bar

Max pressure

350 bar

The stirred reactors are equipped with a magnetic drive to provide a service free drive shaft to the internal impeller. These are high torque magnetic drives available as 16 kgf-cm, 20 kgf-cm, 50 kgf-cm or 80 kgf-cm torque.

The magnetic drives are assembled with specially designed Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets which have excellent temperature stability and can be depended upon to operate for long periods with little or no flux degradation.

Construction

Design features

01

Magnets for the inner rotor, to which the stirrer shaft is attached, are enclosed in a stainless steel (or other alloy) housing and supported by carbon-filled PTFE bushings to provide a long life, chemically inert stirring system.

02

Magnets for the outer drive are fully enclosed and supported by twin, high quality sealed ball bearings for smooth operation and long life.

03

Drive housings are tested to 350 bar pressure. Mounting is 9/16-18 UNF or M16 for the 16 kgf-cm drive; M24 or 1" UNF for 50 kgf-cm; M28 or 1.25" UNF for 80 kgf-cm.

04

The magnetic drive is mounted on the pressure vessel with a compression gasket in nickel or PTFE.
